Corporate Social Responsibility
The core principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are key features of how the firm operates both internally and externally. Internal policies in place create a healthy and progressive working environment that values each team member, while external community and environment outreach reflect a commitment towards bettering the wider society in which the firm operates.

The Team
The firm continuously works to ensure excellent working conditions for its team, building a culture that holds team spirit and the respect for each individual in the highest esteem. This stems from a core belief that the firm is built on the successes of each team member and as a result, individual satisfaction and stability are essential to a productive and successful enterprise.
Debs & Associates offers some of the most competitive packages in the region, which include bonuses, yearly reviews and adjustments, first-rate medical insurance, flexible working hours and long vacation days. Valuing family and upholding a belief in gender-equality across its operations, prolonged maternity and paternity leaves are also mainstay policies. Believing that education is both essential to progress and a continual process, the firm encourages and supports each member of the team to continue learning across their careers with trainings and other educational opportunities both in Lebanon and abroad. |
The Community
Debs & Associates operates under the belief that it does not work in isolation of its surroundings but is instead an intrinsic part of the community in which it functions. As a result, it takes on responsibility towards building a thriving society though local community action.
Utilizing its legal expertise towards the betterment of society, the community action the firm offers is two-fold: taking on pro-bono cases as well as working with NGOs. Pro-bono cases are taken on so as to help individuals unable to afford legal services who are facing injustice or miscarriage of justice. The firm represents women and children facing issues of domestic violence, low income tenants in rent cases, workers who are unfairly dismissed, patients suffering from medical malpractice and juveniles, among many other cases where individuals face injustices and are unable to afford legal council to defend themselves. Additionally, the firm works alongside NGOs whose nature is to aid the community by offering legal services and council on their formation, legal status, financing, dispute resolution, relations with the government and international organizations, among various other fields. |
The Environment
With the ever-growing risks and dangers associated with climate change and decline of the earth’s natural capacity to replenish its depleting resources, Debs & Associates believes in the need and urgency of enacting measures at an individual and local level so as to preserve our shared environment at a global level.
Debs & Associates is currently implementing a long-term plan for a ‘green revolution’ at its premises and throughout its associated activities via the reduction of environmental impact, conservation of natural resources, and commitment towards sustainable growth. The firm works to reduce environmental impact through a reduction in its consumption and waste. This is implemented via small internal actions that have wide-reaching positive repercussions, such as the digitization of its internal system to decrease reliance on paper as well as using paper consciously by printing only when necessary and on both sides when possible. Team members are encouraged to implement the same measures at their own homes. Moreover, the firm deals with local neighborhood providers as much as possible, in order to both help small businesses develop and reduce the negative impact associated with transportation and carbon dioxide emission. It further encourages communal and shared transportation among its team members. So as to aid in the conservation of natural resources, Debs & Associates recycles all paper, plastic, glass and metal used at its premises. Office equipment and furniture are donated as opposed to thrown away whenever possible so that they can benefit others instead of creating waste. Additionally, the firm is committed to growing sustainably. At the beginning of each quarter, the firm sets its objectives and goals, which are always measured against sustainability. |
